Welcome About Us - Independent, traditional Baptist Church North Ft Myers

Visiting any church for the very first time can be an awkward experience; what door do I go into? what time does it start? what is there for my kids? These and many more questions always come up.

When you visit Slater Road Baptist Church in North Fort Myers you will find friendly, down-to-earth Christians who have a love for the Lord and their church family. There will always be someone to assist you with any questions or concerns.

Our hope is that you will experience inspiring music, traditional worship, helpful teaching and old fashioned preaching from the Word of God in a setting where you can feel welcome. Here are a few answers to common questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

What is the Sunday morning schedule?

10:00 AM

This is our Sunday school hour. We offer classes for all ages. If you are unsure which class to go to; simply ask one of our greeters at the door and they will be happy to assist you. Our Classes start with one or two songs out of the hymn book, and then goes directly into the Bible lesson. This lasts until about 10:45.

11:00 AM

The worship service starts with traditional congregational singing, general and special anouncements & special music. This is followed by our old fashioned, preaching service. Most services end between 12pm-12:30pm.

What Do I wear?

Clothes. You pick.  Just remember it is God’s House…

Is there a Youth Ministry? 

Yes. In addition to church services and classes for children and teens; there are frequent special activities for the teen youth group.

Check with us with any questions or to inquire about special events.

Should I bring my bible?

We encourage everyone to bring their King James Bibles and follow along with the Pastor’s traditional message. If you do not have a Bible, we will provide one on request.

Can I listen to services online?

We are currently working on an online listening service.. More to follow!

Do you have more than one service?

We have a traditional morning and evening service on Sundays. Our evening service starts at 6:00 PM on Sunday nights. Our traditional Wednesday night services start at 7:00 PM.
